Here is a another peculiar thought to spur the use of yours...
Imagine for a moment a world stripped of all natural resources, war torn and with an Ozone layer so thin most of the American planes have been set ablaze by the Suns unforgiving ultraviolet rays. Humanity is on the brink of extinction. Those who haven't decided to seek refuge amongst the stars remain behind simply because, Earth is Home.
After much deliberation, a small group of people from this alternate future decide to travel back in time in order to warn the current generation of this possible end scenario. With only enough power for one trip and understanding the possibility of no one believing their story, they develop a plan that would enable them to spread their message.
They would travel back to the 1970's and form a band that would gain popularity among the people. They would gain the resources and the public voice to communicate the possible coming of the end through music. They would attempt to reach everyone across the globe in hope to change the way people treat one another and the world around them. They will try to prevent the selfish devastation that had eventually reached and destroyed their world. They will succeed.
